Product Obsolescence Notice from Teknoware Rail and Bus and Coach Divisions
Due to the ban on fluorescent tube sales which came into force in the EU on 24 August 2023, Teknoware will stop manufacturing fluorescent lighting inverters/ballasts on 31 December 2024. We kindly ask our Rail and Bus & Coach customers to estimate their spare part needs and place Last Time Buy Orders no later than 30 September 2024.
From 1 January 2025 onwards, Teknoware will support installed fluorescent lighting fleets with LED-inserts, which will be designed on a case by case basis as the need arises. We also have a range of LED tubes available. Nevertheless, as the ban of fluorescent tube sales will also result in the discontinuation of other essential fluorescent lighting components in future, we see LED tubes as only a short-term solution and the emphasis will be on LED inserts for all long-term solutions.
