A quality problem, which may pose a safety risk, has been detected in some of the emergency lights in the Teknoware Solid product family manufactured between 26 March 2020 and 1 February 2023. The mounting points in the luminaire body into which the cover mounting screws (4 pieces) are attached may break, which may lead to the cover falling off and the inner part falling out. The probability of breakage is significantly increased if the screws are tightened beyond the tightening torque specified in the instructions (2.5 Nm) when mounting. A falling luminaire could lead to a hazardous situation.
In luminaires manufactured after 1 February 2023 and in luminaires currently in production, the structure has been changed so that there is no such risk.
Customer safety and quality assurance are of paramount importance to us, which is why we have taken immediate action to address the issue:
1. Product recall: We have traced the production batches where the quality problem occurs and asked our retailers to immediately stop selling the Solid emergency lights manufactured during the period in question. We have informed our customers about the quality problem and are working with our retailers to find out where the products have been installed.
2. Repairs to installed products: We offer all end users options to have the defective product repaired. We will make every effort to ensure that the inspection and repair of installed products can be carried out as quickly as possible.

- Production date: 26 March 2020 – 1 February 2023 (year and day numbers 20085–23032 on the product’s nameplate). The structure of products currently being sold has been changed, so that they do not have this quality problem.
